Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”. Click “Reset” in the confirmation window. Based on my research there are no drivers available for the HP PSC 750 printer for Mac 9. Also, I have checked the Apple's website which provides drivers for a lot of inbuilt drivers for HP printers and the HP PSC 750 is not included. The primary reason could be that the printer is obsolete The hardware and software for this printer is obsolete.
A client loves OS 9 on a G4 desktop, and has an app which will only run on this antique OS9. Someone gave her a nice HP PSC 750 with new cartridges.
Very nice printing via internal test. Problem: Cannot find the software to make this printer work with this OS 9 Macintosh.
Have searched the Internet, including eBay. For silly and/or unclear reasons, HP removed the OS 9 software from their support site. It would have been nice for legacy users to have access to that software, and for HP to not have removed the software simply because the printer is 'no longer supported'. One site alleged to have the driver as an.smi. Converted it to a.dmg and it would not install on her G4. Anyone here help? Hi, Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums!
